NEW WORK PREMIERING SUMMER 2024

Performa/Dance’s new work, Oh The Humanity! Brittle Bushes and the Anthropocene, the perspectives of singular persons and the notion of a global collective coalesce to interrogate experience and truths in our relationship to the natural world. The catalyst is society’s disassociation from the natural world, leaving us vulnerable in the face of increasing natural disasters and global crises. To engage with this deepening threat to natural resources, we will dig into philosophical habits of thought through allegories of hospice, divorce, the doldrums of working life, and showcasing the cultural pedagogy we would like to see as we collectively embark on the birth of idea/nextness.
